The app's example candle

Your $8 candle earns you 76¢.

The wax, fragrance, jar and wick come to $3.81 a candle. Your 90 minutes for a batch of 12 adds $1.88 at $15 an hour. Labels and packaging add 35¢. Then Etsy takes $1.21. What's left is your profit: 76 cents.

Price it at $11 and the same candle keeps $3.48, a 31.6% profit after fees and your wage.

Prices round up to the next 0.50, the app's default. Fee presets are the ones in the app, each with its source and the date it was checked: Etsy (US seller): etsy.com/legal/fees and etsy.com/legal/etsy-payments, checked 15 Oct 2026. In the app you build the batch from each supply you bought, by weight, volume or piece.

How it works

Four steps. Then every price updates itself.

  1. 1

    Add what you bought

Type what you paid and how much you got: $30 for 10 lb of wax, $24 for 12 jars. Tallymade works out the cost per gram, ounce, millilitre or piece. When a supply goes up, every product that uses it reprices.

Materials screen listing soy wax, fragrance oil, jars and wicks with their unit costs
  2. 2

    Pick where you sell

Etsy (US and UK sellers), Square card readers and cash are built in, each showing its source and the date it was checked. Every fee line is editable, and you can add your own markets.

Fees screen with Cash, Etsy (US seller) and Square card reader presets
  3. 3

Get the price that pays you

Build the batch, add your hands-on minutes, and Tallymade gives you a price that covers materials, your wage and the fees, and still leaves your profit target.

Product screen: price for Etsy (US seller) $11.00, 31.6% profit after fees and your wage
  4. 4

    Check what you charge now

Enter today's price and see the real profit and what you earn per hour. Below target, Tallymade tells you the price that would hit it.

Check your price: at $8 the profit is $0.76 and you earn $21.08 an hour, below the 30% target

Questions

Good to know

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up. Your materials and products are stored only on your phone.

What if I change phones?

Export a backup file from Settings and restore it on the new phone. Tallymade doesn't keep a copy on a server.

Which fees are built in?

Etsy for US and UK sellers, Square card readers (US and UK) and cash. Each preset shows its source and the date it was checked. Every fee line is editable, and you can add your own channels, for example a craft fair pitch fee or another marketplace.

Why isn't TikTok Shop built in?

Its published rates vary by category and region, so we couldn't confirm one set of numbers. Add it as your own channel using the rates in your seller account.

Which currencies work?

USD, GBP and EUR. Pick the currency you sell in; Tallymade doesn't convert between currencies. The built-in fee presets are for US and UK sellers, so in EUR you add your own channel with your fees.

Can I mix weight and volume?

Yes. Add a density (grams per ml, from your supplier's data sheet) to a material and Tallymade converts between them.

How do I cancel Pro?

Pro is billed by Apple or Google. Cancel in your store account's subscription settings; refunds are requested through the store.

Is this tax or accounting advice?

No. Tallymade is a pricing calculator. For tax and bookkeeping, talk to an accountant.
